Fogarty and Neumann Win Men’s Doubles Competition at the 2009 Colombia International Badminton Tournament

Matt Fogarty teamed with David Neumann to win the men’s doubles competition at the 2009 Colombia International Badminton Tournament, held in Bogata, Columbia, September 17^th-20^th.

Fogarty and Neumann won four matches on their way to the championship.  They started off defeating Felipe Salamanca and Manuel Eduardo Vargas of Columbia two games to none (21-9 and 21-11).  They followed that up with victories over Jefferson Gonzalez and Stiven Pulgarin of Columbia two games to zero (21-4 and 21-10) and Johan Echeverry and Julian Restrepo also of Columbia two games to zero (21-8 and 21-14).  In the final match it took three games, but Fogarty and Neumann defeated Santiago Zambrano and Sebastian Teran of  Equador by scores of 21-9, 17-21 and 21-14.
