Study Materials: The Official Rule Book - which includes the Laws of Badminton, Recommendations to Technical Officials, Vocabulary, etc.
If you already have a rule book published in the past few years, that should be adequate to study from. We will also be getting some books from USAB and I have a few copies with me. I will also send in a separate memo a copy of the aforementioned rules for you to use to study if you do not currently have a book. You will need to have a good knowledge of all of the material prior to the clinic; come with your questions, requests for clarification, etc.
This is a great opportunity for more training and to help out with our hosting of the USAB Senior Nationals.
Please let me know the following:
- Are you playing in the Senior Nationals?
- What is your availability during the days of the tournament, March 17-20.
If you know of someone else who would be interested in attending the umpiring clinic, have them contact me. Many thanks.
