2023 YONEX U.S. Junior National Championships Prospectus Released

USA Badminton is excited to announce the release of the 2023 YONEX U.S. Junior National Championships prospectus. Click HERE for the prospectus. Click HERE for the TournamentSoftware page to enter.
The 2023 YONEX U.S. Junior National Championships will be open to U11, U13, U15, U17, and U19 age groups. USA Badminton is happy to announce that the tournament will be open to both U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens residing in the U.S (not short term visas, such as B visas).
The 2023-2024 Coaching Pass application is now available for tournaments between June 16, 2023 to June 15, 2024. Coaching Passes for use at the 2023 YONEX U.S. Junior National Championships will be handed out on-site. The 2022-2023 Coaching Pass is NOT accepted for the 2023 YONEX U.S. Junior National Championships.
The Podium Powered by STCU will transform into a world class badminton facility when Spokane hosts the 2023 USA Badminton Junior National Championships, June 25 – July 2, 2023. “From the start, we wanted to ensure The Podium Powered by STCU was a true multi-purpose venue” says Ashley Blake, CEO of Spokane Sports. “Hosting badminton is another example of the flexibility in the design of the facility.”
Note that The Podium has a bag policy:
Guests may carry one clear plastic or vinyl bag no larger than 14” x 14” x 6”. Small clutch bags no larger than 6.5” x 4.5” (does not have to be clear) or clear one gallon zip-top storage bags are also permitted. Backpacks and purses larger than 6.5” x 4.5” will not be permitted. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items, single compartment diaper bags (child must be present) or camera bags with photography gear. (Note that this does not apply to athletes and coaches.)

Entry/Withdraw and On-Time Coaching Pass Request Deadline:
June 5, 2023 by 11:59 AM PDT (one minute BEFORE NOON)
For all tournaments entered this season, please be sure to go through the Entry Checklist to ensure a complete entry.
- Read through the prospectus.
- Register through the TournamentSoftware link.
- If the athlete already has a USA Badminton membership:
- Check that the athlete’s membership is valid through the duration of the tournament.
- Check that the athlete’s member ID on TournamentSoftware matches their USAB ID.
- If completing a first–time entry for a new athlete:
- Create and pay for their USAB membership through https://usabadminton.clublocker.com/ .
- Create their TournamentSoftware account. Use their USAB member ID for the TournamentSoftware member ID.
- Submit age verification documents (see prospectus for specific instructions) for the athlete to the tournament Dropbox folder or email to

- If the athlete already has a USA Badminton membership:
- Ensure all entered events are fully paid through PayPal.
- If the athlete is 18 years old at any time during the tournament, complete NCSI Background Check and SafeSport Training.
- Each athlete must have submitted the waiver through Jotform or TournamentSoftware (https://form.jotform.com/222146698539165) for the tournament.
- If the parent intends to substitute line judge, they must complete this form: https://form.jotform.com/211716316497055.
- Coaching:
- If the coach already has a valid USAB–issued Coaching Pass for the 2023–2024 season, remind them to check their expiration dates and renew anything expired.
- Any coach without a USAB–issued Coaching Pass must apply for one by the deadlines listed in the prospectus.
- Use the following shirt sizes if applicable: Youth Small, Youth Medium, Youth Large, Youth X-Large, Adult XS, Adult S, Adult M, Adult L, Adult XL
