2026 BWF Para Badminton Athlete Integration Workshops

Integration of athletes and people with disability in all aspects of badminton is an area of importance for the BWF. The BWF, in partnership with the International Paralympic Committee, will deliver two specialised workshops alongside the BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2026:

BWF Technical Officials Pathway & Line Judge Workshop

These workshops are specifically targeted towards current and former Para Badminton athletes who have an interest in the areas of event management or officiating in badminton. The workshops aim to enhance participants knowledge and skills in different facets of badminton beyond only competing, with a goal to retain a higher number of athletes within the sport.

Nominations should be submitted by Member Associations, National Para Badminton Federations or National Paralympic Committees only. Any direct nominations from athletes, will not be accepted.

Note:

* An athlete can only be nominated for one workshop.

* Athletes must be 18 years or older.

* Athletes competing in the BWF Para Badminton World Championships are not eligible to apply for these workshops.

Participation is limited. Following the closing date to submit applications of 09 January 2026, the BWF will shortlist and may interview potential candidates, before confirming their selection to attend the workshops.
