In Women’s Doubles, Lauren Lam and Allison Lee progressed to round of 16 after a back and forth with Hsu Ya Ching and Sung Yu-Hsuan from Chinese Taipei. The match ended in a scoreline of 21-16, 7-21, 21-8. Lam/Lee ultimately lost in round of 16, but not without putting up a fight in a three game match against Indonesian pair Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum..
In Women’s Singles, Beiwen Zhang also made it to round of 16, winning her first match against Malaysian opponent Karupathevan Letshanaa, who currently sits at No. 28 in the world.
