Accepting Bids to Host the 2023 Junior International Selection Event (For Pan Am Junior Championships/BWF World Junior Championships/Shonai Invitational)

USA Badminton is requesting a $20,000 bid fee from any CVB, entity or compliant member club interested in hosting the Junior International Selection Event from April 7-10, 2023. The bid fee is in addition to the regular revenue split.

We do not plan to cap the event and it will be open to all U.S. Citizens by age group. In order to ensure only experienced players participate, each entrant will be required to play in a minimum of two USAB or BWF tournaments (junior or adult) in the 2022-2023 season prior to the Selection Event. The event will be held over four days. The Selection Event will be main draw with feed-in consolation or pool play based on the number of entries.   The Selection Event will determine the U.S Players for the 2023 Pan Am Junior Championships,  the 2023 World Junior Championships and the International Badminton U16 Shonai Invitational 2023.

*The inclusion of the U11 at the Pan Am Junior Championships is not yet known.
