Beiwen Zhang Advances to Quarterfinals at Japan Open

American Beiwen Zhang has advanced to the quarterfinals of the DAIHATSU Japan Open in Tokyo.

Zhang (world No. 12) bested world No. 3 Chen Yu Fei of China in the second round of competition in straight games (21-17, 24-22).

Zhang will face He Bing Jiao of China in the quarterfinals on Friday, July 28, time TBA.
