Beiwen Zhang Invited to Tokyo 2020, Coach and Team Leader Selected

USA Badminton is proud to announce that women’s singles player Beiwen Zhang has been invited to compete for the U.S. at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Zhang, the 12th-ranked eligible player in the Race to Tokyo rankings, has competed for the U.S. since 2013, and this will be her first opportunity to play on the biggest stage. She most recently secured a gold medal in women’s singles for the U.S. in Guatemala at the XXIV Pan Am Individual Championships 2021. 

 

She will be supported at the Olympic Games by Coach Ding Chao and Team Leader Alistair Casey, both of whom were unanimously selected by the USAB High Performance Advisory Group (HPAG).
