Frisco Badminton Club Named Official Para Badminton Training Center

USA Badminton Celebrates New Home for Future Para Badminton Training Camps

Frisco, TX – October 2024 – Frisco Badminton Club has been named an official Para Badminton Training Center, marking a significant milestone for USA Badminton as it establishes a dedicated home for future USA Para Badminton training camps. This designation recognizes Frisco Badminton Club’s commitment to excellence and its vital role in nurturing top-level para badminton talent.

Leading up to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, Silver medalists Miles Krajewski and Jayci Simon chose to train at Frisco Badminton Club under the expert guidance of Coach Abhishek Ahlawat. While both athletes built their badminton foundation elsewhere and qualified for Paris 2024 with different coaches, they credit the intense and focused training they received at Frisco Badminton Club as a key factor in their Silver medal success.

Their training was made possible through the generosity of Karri Reddy, the owner of Frisco Badminton Club, who provided Miles and Jayci with access to the club’s state-of-the-art facilities free of charge. Additionally, Coach Abhishek Ahlawat volunteered his time and expertise, coaching both athletes for free. Their unwavering support and dedication played a crucial role in helping Miles and Jayci reach the podium in Paris.

USA Badminton is excited to have Frisco Badminton Club as an official training center. The organization looks forward to developing future Paralympic athletes in this high-performance environment, which offers an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for athletes of all abilities.

Frisco Badminton Club’s recognition as an official Para Badminton Training Center reflects its commitment to supporting para athletes and promoting excellence in the sport. With this new status, the club is poised to play a crucial role in the growth and success of USA Para Badminton on the international stage.
