Miami Lakes Hosts 2023 YONEX Senior National Badminton Championships

Miami Lakes Athletic Club in Miami Lakes, Florida was the scene for the 2023 YONEX Senior Nationals Badminton Championships, Aug. 25-27. Competitors came from Pennsylvania, Illinois, Massachusetts, Texas, South Dakota, Virginia, North Carolina, California, Washington, Ohio and Florida.

The event was well-regarded by attendees, including Modupe Anekwensi who won the women’s 35+ singles title and took bronze in women’s 30+ doubles. “As a participant I enjoyed the complete convenience and comfort during the tournament, the quick access to the tournament gym, the clean hotel, and access to numerous stores and restaurants was a delight,” said Anekwensi. “Players don’t have to think about transportation to and fro during the competition to the venue, the athletic club’s clean environment was a great experience.”
