Team USA Shaping Up For BWF World Junior Championships

Team USA Roster and Draw Announced

With only one week to go until the 2023 Badminton World Federation World Junior Championships in Spokane, Washington, Team USA is getting into form for the tournament to be held September 25 – October 8.

With the athlete draw held on Aug. 9, Team USA has been drawn into Group H, along with Thailand, Slovenia, Peru, and Iceland. The full draw can be watched here, and the seeding report can be found on this page.

The Team Event at the World Junior Championships will take place Sept. 25-30. The team event head coach is Andy Chong, and the team event assistant coach and team manager is Hendry Winarto. The following athletes will represent Team USA:

  • Arthur Lee
  • Samuel W Li
  • Ryan Ma

  • Adam Tay

The Individual Event at the World Championships will be held Oct. 2-8. The individual event head coach is Hendry Winarto, and the individual event assistant coaches are Andy Chong, Charles Gu, Katy Li and Shlok Ramchandran, and Andy Chong will also serve as the team manager. In addition to the athletes from the team event, the Team USA roster will also include:
