U.S.A. Dominates the Podium at the XXXIV YONEX Pan Am Junior Championships 2026

U.S. athletes made quite a showing at the XXXIV YONEX Pan Am Junior Championships 2026, which took place in Joao Pessoa, Brazil from July 22-26 this past week. After securing gold in the XXXIV YONEX Pan Am Junior Team Championships, team U.S.A dominated the podiums in the individual events.
With 58 athletes total, the U.S. team achieved 15 gold, 20 silver, and 20 bronze medals across all five events and all four age groups. Congratulations to the players whose hard work and perseverance paid off!
Thank you to the coaches and parents who contributed their time, energy, and encouragement to the success of our athletes! In specific, we would like to acknowledge Khekwei Kyle Chua and Lin Jia for coaching the team event. Additionally, a shoutout to Khekwei Kyle Chua, Charles Chao Gu, Lin Jia, and Hendry Winarto for coaching the individual event competition, and for the support of team manager, Cora Tanuwidjaja. Without their efforts this year’s standout performance from our athletes would not have been possible.

Team Gold: Team USA won gold in the team event for the sixth consecutive year. Athletes in the team event included: Noah Chien, Micah Henares Cruz, Sydney Hanyue Li, Rithik Krishna Rasamsetti, Srinivas Subash, Sophia Wu, Justin Xia and Cassidy Yeh.
