USA Earns Bronze at YONEX Taipei Open 2026

This past week the U.S was represented by 14 athletes at the YONEX Taipei Open 2026, which ran from July 28 – August 02. Three sets of doubles progressed past the round of 32, including Presley Smith/Hermes Zhi Yi Chen in Men’s Doubles, and Presley Smith/Jennie Gai in Mixed Doubles. Smith/Gai played a particularly close match, ending in a scoreline of 13/21, 21/19, 29/30.
In Women’s Doubles, Jennie Gai and Francesca Corbett made it to Semi-finals. The pair placed 3/4, losing out against world ranked 5 pair, Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan from Malaysia.
