USA Para-Badminton Wins Gold and Silver on Final Day at Santiago 2023 ParaPan American Games

On the final day of the Santiago 2023 ParaPan American Games, the U.S. athletes earned another gold and silver medal. Adding to the gold medal that they already earned in Mixed Doubles SH6, Miles Krajewski won a gold medal in Men’s Singles SH6 while Jayci Simon won a silver medal in Women’s Singles SH6. In total, the U.S. athletes have earned an impressive two gold medals and one silver medal at the Santiago 2023 ParaPan American Games.

In Men’s Singles SH6, Miles Krajewski faced Brazil’s Vitor Tavares in the finals. It was a tough battle for the American but he pulled through with a 21-19 and 21-15 win to win the gold medal.

In Women’s Singles SH6, Jayci Simon faced Peru’s Carmen Giuliana Poveda Flores in the finals. Simon fought hard but was defeated 21-10 and 21-11 to take the silver medal.

In Women’s Singles WH1, Amy Burnett faced Canada’s Yuka Chokyu in the bronze medal match. Burnett was defeated 21-5 and 21-5.
