YONEX Arise International Challenge 2026

Last week in Brookshire, Texas, the International Challenge made its return to the United States for the first time since 2019. Hosted by Arise Sports Complex, the event brought athletes from over 25 countries to engage in a week of rigorous competition. Of the competing athletes, over 40 were from the USA, and for some it was their first international competition. The event posed an amazing opportunity for US athletes to compete in an international competition on home-soil.

For some, such as Ishika Jaiswal, this was a chance to compete in her home state of Texas, meaning her family could come support her from the stands. For others, such as US player Tsavanne Mertesono and her women’s doubles partner Serena Kani (representing Indonesia), it was their best result on the international circuit. Overall, the event boasted impressive results from the Pan Am region, especially the USA, Canada, and Brazil.
