Beiwen Zhang Advances to Finals at Australian Open 2023

U.S. Women’s Singles player Beiwen Zhang (World No. 12) is into the finals at the SATHIO GROUP Australian Open 2023 in Sydney, Australia. Zhang will face World No. 19 Kim Ga Eun of Korea in the finals on Sunday, August 6 at 1 PM local time (Saturday, August 5 at 8 PM Pacific time).
On her way to the finals, Zhang defeated World No. 17 PV Sindhu of India in two straight games (21-12, 21-17) in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, Zhang won 21-17 in the first game against World No. 7 Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand. Intanon retired due to injury in the second game.
